Time for Tea
Time For Tea is the next exhibition at Ambre Studio, Bethlehem PA.
The opening is Thursday evening from 6 to 9 pm, Evelyn the owner throws a great celebration!, so stop by if you are in the area.
When I found out about the theme of the show, I originally thought I was going to create more traditional piece to fit the Japanese tea ceremony theme. But instead I ended up painting with TEA! I made a gallon of very strong black tea (PG Tips, to be exact) and poured it, brushed it, blew it across the paper, it was great to explore what tea would create.
What came out are these two pieces, one is a smaller elegant stroke and the other is this large “wild beast”.

Join the Main Line First Friday events on April 4th 2008. I will be showing my smaller BrushWorks at the The Ardmore Initiative from 6-9 pm.****
Brushwork is experiencing the moment when ink, brush and paper meet to create a dynamic work of art. It is about placing the mind and frustrations aside and drawing on inner energy to drive that one burst of movement. In the tradition of the stillness of Zen, Damini, a painter and acupuncturist, will exhibit her BrushWorks throughout the month of April.
